Mark Stevenson

Managing Director

Mark founded Bright Spark in 2011 after a decade-long career in construction and consultancy. While working on large-scale building projects, he developed a passion for renewable technologies and their lasting impact on future generations, inspiring him to start the company. Originally an energy consultancy, Bright Spark evolved into a commercial electrical business, specializing in solar PV, LED lighting, and EV charging solutions across various sectors. Outside of work, Mark enjoys spending time with his growing family, watching and playing sport and being outdoors as much as possible. His latest projects include restoring an 18th-century farmhouse, qualifying as an RFU coach and learning to play Tennis.   He has a passion for travel and is currently learning to sail, with the ultimate goal of sailing around the world.

Neil Pacey

Electrical Manager

Neil qualified as an electrician in 1991 and went on to run his own NICEIC-approved company for 26 years. During this time, his business carried out all aspects of electrical work, including both commercial and domestic installations, ranging from airports to racecourses and from one-bedroom apartments to multi-million-pound new-build properties.

He completed his City & Guilds training in Solar PV back in 2011 and has since kept up to date with continued learning and numerous additional qualifications. His responsibility for ensuring that all projects are electrically sound and safe throughout the installation stage aligns perfectly with Bright Spark Energy’s ethos.

Outside of work, Neil enjoys keeping fit, whether in the gym or running miles across the South Downs most weekends. He also loves travelling and camping with his wife and their Whippet, Luna.

Ann Turkington

Finance and HR

Ann is our Finance & HR Director for Bright Spark Ventures. She has worked for many years in the construction industry at a senior level, primarily focused on project management, finance and HR. Ann joined Bright Spark in 2023 to support the companies development and growth, and in that time has implemented significant changes and improvements, helping to drive the business forward.

Outside of work, Ann enjoys walking, Marimba dancing, cooking and reading. Ann is an active member of the local Film Society and enjoys most sports but only as a spectator these days.
